Main Street Story
We live and work in Carrollton, Georgia.
We are deeply invested in our community. We want to see our neighbors enjoy life and our businesses prosper. Not coincidentally, that is the mission of Carrollton Main Street. We have partnered with Carrollton Main Street since 2011 to gather, organize, promote, preserve, revitalize and enhance Downtown Carrollton.
The Downtown Carrollton iPhone App is a great example of technology at work on a local level. The app promotes restaurants, merchants, services, public facilities, non-profits and community-wide events in one convenient package. Locals and visitors alike can find information more quickly and conveniently than ever before. Businesses benefit from significantly increased exposure.
The Downtown Carrollton iPhone App and the Carrollton Main Street website serve as a rallying point for the entire community. The app and the website promote events that are of interest to the community at large, even those events that are not sponsored by Carrollton Main Street. Both the app and the website also include a real-time news feed from the Times-Georgian, Carroll County’s news leader since 1871.
Partnering with Carrollton Main Street means
more than just building an app and a website.
Over the past year, we have pulled out all the stops: t-shirts, posters, yard signs, newspaper ads and more. We plan events, roll out the red carpet, hand out bottles of water and collect them for recycling when it’s all said and done. We hope you have had at least one opportunity to dig deeply into something like we have into our Downtown.
Gathering people and resources like this is the hallmark of an organization that takes the lead for the benefit of the community at large.
